It is important to me to make each leaf special. I liked the idea of giving away art of the same quality as I would place in a museum or gallery. I liked the idea that someone who normally would not be able to afford an original painting would be able to find one. I also believe that every object carries something of the spirit of its creator, the spirit in which is it made. People have not been lining up in front of the Mona Lisa for centuries because it is a pretty picture. There is something more there, just like there is something more in those socks your grandma knitted for you that keeps you from throwing them out no matter how ragged they get.
